Shadow and Fog

This series’ allegory depicts the oppression of women. It endeavors to illustrate the striving by these victims to rise above that oppression and reclaim their place, their soul, on their own terms and not on those of others.

The series portrays women, initially quiescent in the oppression (alone in the fog) by both genders, their eventual awakening, the challenging and their eventual arising from the oppression to reclaim their sense of individual self, free from the confines of the collective’s beliefs.
